I’m a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Information and Data Science through the iSchool. I was born and raised on the north side of Chicago, and plan to go back to living there full-time after graduating.

I went to Whitney Young High School, where I met some of my closest friends (one of them even goes here!). I’m an only child, and as a result I really appreciate having a big community outside of my immediate family. Coming into college, the initial lack of meaningful connections was one of the main reasons I decided to join a sorority. For me, this was a pretty unexpected and daunting choice , but so far it has only rewarded me with incredible relationships and experiences I couldn’t have gained otherwise.
